I grew up in the land of Princess Kay of the Milky Way in Minnesota where faces are carved in butter for the State Fair. I honed my long o's playing ice hockey and headed east for a degree in art history from Williams College in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.
I failed my interview for a consulting job because I never learned to business model in my head and estimated the local pizza place Hot Tomatoes made millions of dollars a year - "Apparently we should all just work at Hot Tomatoes haha, cough" and ended up with a dual degree from the Minnesota School of Bartending and Brainco School of Advertising.
Instead of working for the Inn Kahoots bar in Hamel, Minnesota with a meat raffle every Tuesday night (it was beef, not men raffled off much to the confusion of a fellow bartending graduate), I started my advertising career at DDB Chicago on McDonald's and Bud Light and went on to work for great people at Saatchi & Saatchi, BBDO and the Wieden & Kennedy Portland office.
Until I packed my suitcase and all the porkbelly in Portland to go to Wieden & Kennedy's New York office where I've worked on almost everything here.
I'm now a Group Creative Director where I’ve lead accounts like Lyft, tinder, Bud Light, Ultra, Sprite, Heinz, Kraft Mayo and The Kennedys - our in house creative incubator. I'm also the Maternal Director of two young kids and a very naughty dog at home.
